I found this “There Is No X In Espresso” to be really funny! I’ve always pronounced it Espresso, but I’ve heard people say “Expresso” so many times, that it always confuses me. I’m not sure which is the right way anymore!

EMMA WATSON IN JULY VOGUE

Emma Watson looks SMASHING in the July 2011 issue of US Vogue, photographed by Mario Testino and styled by Camilla Nickerson. I loved the colors, the sleek and shiny effects and style of photography.

I also love how grown up they made Emma look, choosing to play up her matureness both in the written article as well as in the photographs. Emma is one of my favorite rising actresses; she seems so down to earth and SO talented!

ABSTRACT GARDEN

Loved these beautiful paintings by Yolanda Sanchez that I came across on Black*Eiffel. The thick and colorful brushstrokes come together to create an “abstract garden”.

FLOAT

So… words cannot begin to describe my love for this editorial. Even though it was shot 3 years ago, I remember these dresses like they just walked the runways yesterday! They caught my eye back then and have been favorites ever since (especially Lanvin!). The colors are exotic, like tropical birds. Those dresses just float!

The editorial, titled Brights, was photographed by Sølve Sundsbø, styled by George Cortina and modeled by one of my favorite models, Freja Beha Erichsen for Harper’s Bazaar US March 2008.

Also, a little trivia for you: Freja has a famous tattoo on her neck, with the word “Float” written across it.

KATE SPADE ESPADRILLES

Just came across these super cute espadrilles by Kate Spade via unruly things. Too bad they’re not available on the site anymore. They are the perfect summer weekend/holiday/vacation shoes!

RAMADHAN PRESENT FROM THE YARD

Last week, I received a lovely Ramadhan present from The Yard. It contained a lovely notebook and the most delicious looking jar of salted caramel spread.

I loved the quirkiness of the notebook (it’s a limited edition), but you know, food gets me all the time! The caramel spread was oh so delicious! I have to admit that I ate a couple of spoonfuls straight from the jar!

Minibar for the Mind is a fun and smart col­lab­o­ra­tion between The School of Life and Morgans Hotel Group that aims to pro­vide the hotel guests with “a more mean­ing­ful and unique hotel expe­ri­ence”.

The “mini­bar” is a box that includes, among other things, con­ver­sa­tion starter cards, collected thoughts from The School of Life, and a writer’s block pen­cil set.
