It gives me great pleasure when I see art and literature collide. White’s Books’ Fine Edition Classics are beautiful editions of readers’ favorites such as Emma by Jane Austen, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte and The Christmas Books by Charles Dickens.
Each book is cloth-bound with a unique wrap-around cover design created by leading illustrators and artists. The books are printed on thick acid-free paper, with colored page tops and include a marker ribbon.
The Fine Edition Classics are under 20 GBP each and available at Waterstones and Amazon.
I must be very unproductive these days because it seems that’s all I do: Gmail, Twitter, Facebook.. and repeat.

I’ve never believed in horoscopes, and never plan to. However, I most certainly believe that people’s personalities are related to their Star Signs. It's something that I’ve noticed with time.
I think this editorial is a beautiful artistic interpretation of those signs. Not to mention a fashionable one. In the December 2010 issue of Vogue UK, photographed by Tim Gutt, baby-faced Siri Tollerod gives life to the astrological signs we’ve always known. The whimsical/surrealist set was designed by Shona Heath, and the fashion styling by Kate Phelan.
Now that we’re on the subject.. how do you feel about the recent changes in the Zodiac signs? To be honest, I think I’m a true Libra, and can’t be anything other than that!

What a gorgeous chandelier! It’s made of 15 world globes and is 2 meters high. Created by Benoit Vieubled and called “Monde à l’endroit, Monde à l’envers”.
I believe it was intended as a piece of art. Though I’m sure there are a lot of creative and talented people who can recreate it on their own. Wouldn’t it look amazing hanging in a library or study?

What a brilliant editorial in Vogue Italia’s January 2011 issue. Photographed by Steven Meisel and modeled by runway favorites like Freja Beha Erichsen, Arizona Muse, Kinga Rajzak, Sessilee Lopez and Fei Fei Sun.
There are 3 things I love about this editorial: The top-notch models. The setting (as if we’re getting a behind the scenes look at a fitting). And most importantly: the GLAMOUR.

Paris Vs New York is “a visual but friendly match between those two cities seen by a lover of Paris wandering through New York's infinite details, clichés and contradictions”.
Created by Vahram Muratyan, cofounder of ViiiZ art direction + graphic design studio, the designs compare almost everything mainstream (and possibly cliché), from food choices to music selection. Lucky for us, prints are available for purchase here.
So are you a Paris or a New York?
Okay, I NEED to get myself a Nest Rest. Now. I NEED to sit on a comfy cushy seat/nest that hangs from a tree. Keyword: NEED.
It’s described as “an over-sized bird’s nest offering you a secluded, suspended sanctuary…” I could cry over how much I want to have this!

I’m not a fan of the original French manicure, which I find to be sometimes tacky and “fake” looking. I’ve never really done anything like these two-tone manicures, or crystal-embellished ones. I think the boldest I’ve ever done was a fluorescent nail color.
These nails, from YSL’s Fall 2010 Beauty line “Rock and Baroque” are quite attractive – bold yet elegant. They polishes come in duos like Y-Cone (pink/white), Belle de Jour (turquoise/purple), Rive Gauche (orange/fuchsia), Belle de Nuit (plum/gold). The last one is my favorite. Very striking.
Would you do it (or maybe you’ve done it already)?
