SEINFELD POSTERS

Seinfood 1

Seinfood 3

Seinfood 2

If, like me, you’re a Seinfeld fan and can watch reruns and laugh like it’s your first time watching them, and can quote many of the lines by heart, and your favorite characters are Kramer and George, then you’re going to LOVE these Seinfood Posters.

Based on different food-related topics from the show, the posters feature famous one-liners or places (like the famous diner). Brilliant!

LOVE THIS LOOK: HEAD TO TOE FLORAL

Floral - Late Afternoon

In theory, this outfit should be wrong on so many levels, but in reality it is perfect on all levels! Both floral prints are completely different, but what makes them match is that the size and color of the flowers are similar.

HOW HERMES MAKES LEATHER GOODS

Ateliers Hermes in Pantin France

I think by now that the name Hermès has not only become a household name, but a household item. I have no doubt that almost everyone I know at some point in their fashionable lives has craved an Hermès item.

Whether it’s a bag, bracelet, or scarf, the name Hermès is synonymous with luxury, and most importantly, exclusivity. The fact that most of Hermès’ leather goods are hard to get makes it a popular topic of discussion.

Well, thankfully, we now have some visual proof of why Hermès is as expensive and exclusive as it is: it’s the impeccable craftsmanship.

This piece by Costas Voyatzis for Yatzer talks about his tour inside the Ateliers Hermès in Pantin, France. It’s complete with great photographs and very interesting details about the factory.

When I first came across Philip Barlow’s work, my immediate reaction was “These are most certainly NOT paintings!” It is unreal how true to life his paintings are, and I am so glad they turned out to be paintings, because how awesome is it that such an artist exists in this world??

Barlow explores “illuminated moments within our seemingly ordinary lives” using everyday scenes. His paintings are always luminous, whether they are of people crossing a street or playing at the beach. Not to mention his picturesque paintings of the sky.

I urge you to take a tour of his paintings..

IT’S FRIDA

Frida Kahlo DV Mode 7

By now, Frida Kahlo is probably as well known for her artwork as she is for her fashion, and her floral headpieces are the standout pieces in her complete attire.

The beautiful editorial for DV Mode is photographed by  Fredrik Wannerstedt, modeled by Åsa Engström and styled by Mona Norremo. Makeup was courtesy of Sandra Öjeland and prop styling by Anton Thorsson.

The makeup is stunning, plus I absolutely adore flowers, and these divine floral headpieces are giving me cravings!

It reminds me very much of this editorial, Latin Lover, which I posted on the blog a while back.

OWN THE NIGHT

Samantha Gradoville Harpers Bazaar Turkey Dec 12

It’s been a while since I posted about a fashion editorial, but I haven’t been inspired much – nothing really wowed me. Until now, thank goodness. For a while there I was worried!

So the editorial that broke the spell was Harper’s Bazaar Turkey’s December cover shoot. Photographed by Koray Birand and styled by Mahizer Aytas, model Samantha Gradoville dazzled in gorgeous gowns and sharp tuxedos, not to mention the stunning hair and makeup courtesy of hair stylist Ali Yilanci and makeup artist Ali Riza Ozdemir.

THE BEACH BY KATHERINE SANDOZ

The Beach by Katherine Sandoz 1

I posted about artist Katherine Sandoz’s floral series before, but as I was looking through her website, her beach series also captured my attention.

The more I look at artwork, whether it’s at museums, galleries, hotels, homes or while traveling, the more I realize that I’m always drawn to abstract art.

Aren’t these paintings beautiful??

FAITH

Faith

The past few days have been really tough. My friends and I have been going through a rough time with the passing of a dear dear friend. I can’t even imagine what her family is going through. No amount of positivity can protect you from the pain of losing someone dear to you. Death is always tragic and always sad.

Everyone deals with the loss of a loved one in different ways, but whether you express your feelings or hide them, it takes a ton of strength and faith to get through each day.

What gets me through these tough times is the fact that deep down, I know that the person who passed has gone to a much more peaceful place, far away from all the hurt and pain in life.

To the beautiful souls that I miss, may you forever rest in peace. Until we meet again xxx

BUN PRINTS

Bun Print by Elizabeth Mayville

As a girl – woman – who pulls her hair up into a bun probably six or seven times a day whenever I’m consumed with an activity (only to let it fall back down again when it feels like the bun is tugging on my eyebrows), I became fascinated with these bun and braid prints by artist Elizabeth Mayville.

Aren’t they cute?
